I'd love to see clamour get the ancestor's treatment or something simmilar. An elite ancestor's could be fun.

Now, if we where to change it, what would everyone like the extra "elite-worthy" part to be?

Just extra dmg wouldn't be as useful. KD would be a bit too much

Making it a DoT might be interesting, but that would be a slap in the face of smiting.

The old 5 - 1/4 - 8 instant activation 130 damage ancestor's rage was elite worthy.

Well...

thx for the tips. This weekend i caped [clamor of souls]
and [destructive was glaive] ..... bolth skills sucks.

Im using a [cruel was daoshen][essence strike][ancestors rage][spirit light weapon][life][protective was kaolai][channeling]
Any tips for me ... to improve this build ?

If your running a hybrid you definatly want [[splinter weapon] and maybe [[warmongers weapon]. Also, if your running those then to not reduce the effectiveness of your elite try [[weapon of remedy]. Definatly one of the nest elites for Rt. Another alternative is [[offering of spirit] as it will allow you to fuel more skills.
[[bloodsong] is a good spirit to use as a trigger for skills but [[vampirism] is better.

Rt resses also happen to be some of the best in the game.

I think the best way to improve [clamor of souls] is to make it castable on either allies (ala [ancestor's rage]) or other mobs (like [channeled strike]).

This self casting garbage cripples the skill. If it has to be selfcasting, why not make it ashes, at least then you could preload it and cast two right at the start of a fight, when it's most useful.

As stated before about the only way to make the skill viable is to use it alongside a MM (or two) to garauntee there'll be as many allies as enemies to maximize the damage. Still a terribly clunky skill though, even Glaive is better imo.

[clamor of souls]
Minion's do count. There for it might be useful in AB. But you need to have at least more allies then enemy's. I never used it.
Allies need to be in range.

[ancestor's rage]
It has a smaller range. But none elite thus its better.

[destructive was glaive]
The biggest problem is it's upkeep. If only it last a bit longer. But it can do massive damage.
Damge on drop also does 10% AL penetration so damage is a big lower, not much.

[grasping was kuurong]
Same range as Clamor. Costs more, less damage. Longer recharge.
Grasping only has 2 pro's: It has knockdown. it's an item, your sure it hits all in range.
[destructive was glaive]
Is my choice out of these elite's

You forgot the most improtant "pro". AoE knockdown at will.

Not at will ... 20 sec recharge.
A warrior with [earth shaker] its better than [grasping was kuurong] (i finnaly got that).

I capped [destructive was glaive] and its a bad skill too.
It only lasts 10 seconds .... most of the item spells lasts much longer than that,
and the benefits, well ...10% armor penetration, oh my !


I finally got it .... support your party. Im doing this ... and its working
very well.

Don't underestimate [grasping was kuurong] the fact that it's an AoE KD with very little set up req gives it good power, especially considering you can syngergize it with all sorts of skills, have an [earthbind] to keep them down longer, [aftershock] em you're in range if you have the KD of Kuurong anyways, or even things like [falling spider]. There's lots you can do with it.

Yeah I used to use grasping was kuurong all the time. I would have my warrior tank a group then cast Spirit rift run in and drop Grasping was Kuurong and then have time to cast spirit rift again and use ancestors rage and would get a large spike damage. Sometimes even recast Grasping was Kuurong and drop a second one. Its a really good skill when used properly. Cause you can cast it before you agro a group. Wait for the 20 seconds to almost be up so that it is available again then agro a group drop the first one and cast a couple spells then recast and drop.

I've always said that spirit light weapon isn't a bad spell, but I never said it was a good one. Truth is, Rit elites are generally more disposable than elites from other classes. If you really want a good elite go with

[offering of spirit]


Rit elites are generally pretty "meh." Maybe try an elite from another class.

Anyway .... i still think that [Earth Shaker] its better.
You will have to be in the middle of the battlefield to
be useful with that skill ... and this is kinda dangerous (for a rit) .... specially in HM.
Still ....you are right with your observation.

It isn't a bad spell ... but rits have better one's.
[Offering of spirit] it's one.

How about [reclaim essence] .... i think its better then [offering of spirit].
5 sec recharge ...15 energy. Combine well with life and if you have a Jagged MM ....

You are bad... DWG RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing esplodes everything. (not in PvE, in PvP it rocks)

Clamour of Sould is bad too, 5-1/4-8 and smaller damage to all nearby foes would be good, also it should be on target to avoid a similar effect to the old Ancestor's HA spike.
